I like the auto select new picture option but I'd like it more if I could choose what it previews
example if it was disabled that it would continue to preview new images being downloaded while still being able to browse already downloaded pictures this would still enable to see what is being downloaded while sorting trough the existing images if a pic is clicked it would show the pic for say 5 sec before continuing to the newest pic. when on broadband the pics flash by so fast that you can't get a chance to view a image during down load.
so a slide show type delay (adjustable) would allow the user to view a pic that was just downloaded before the preview jumped to the latest pic
right now it shows it for a split sec and then shows the newest one
even an button toggle in the menu bar would be an improvement BTW
with large sites this would be handy because you could mark files for deletion while downloading it. also when previewing it in full screen it would be nice to set it to real time or delay mode while downloading.
this would also save resources because resizing could be done in the background while in delay mode because this would create a sort of buffer
and the pics would be able to be resized in advance of being shown
