Dear all,

Eventhough i've set the max connections to 50 but it is still limited to 2 connections. I've referred to FAQ question 7 and visited microsoft site to get around it but the registry path doesnt exist in my Windows XP Pro. Can someone please help me ?

Hi,

What you means "still limited to 2 connections"? please tell me more. And please tell me something about your computer: RAM, CPU, Internet connection, etc.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

OS is Windows XP Pro.
My internet connection is 384 kbps.
RAM is 512 DDR.
Processor is AMD Athlon 1700.

When i clicked on the "Monitor" tab, i noticed only 2 connections are being utilized eventough i set my connections to 50. I've read the article by microsoft to get around it but i cant found the registry keys mentioned.
The registry keys mentioned are;

MaxConnectionsPerServer REG_DWORD (Default 2)
Sets the number of simultaneous requests to a single HTTP 1.1 Server

MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server REG_DWORD (Default 4)
Sets the number of simultaneous requests to a single HTTP 1.0 Server

Do you have any idea how i can get around it in Windows XP Pro ?

Many thanks.

Best Regards,
nsing

Hi,

You means only two connections in working (connecting, downloading) and other connections in "watting..."?
For your computer, I think set connections to 10~15 is enough, because your Internet speed limit to 384kbps, more connections will not speed up the downloading but only spend more memory, CPU time and slowdown your computer.

Yes Mr Admin. You are totally right, only 2 connections running while the rest are waiting. Any tweak for this ? Thanks!

Hi,

Try this:
Select main menu->View->Options->Download, set "Pause between connections" to 0 seconds.
