Unable to use the manual login feature on this website

First I must say what a great piece of software this is.
I am having trouble with manual logging on to this website http://www.masalatalk.com/masalaboard , I am able to get the login window but when I start to type the username I get an error messagage that this program has performed an illegal operation. Could someone help?
