- 01. To see how this all began, please see my original forum post "PicaLoader 1.47 - Abort On Launch."
02. Mr. Hsu, once he had my email, wasted no time in emailing me a debug version of PicaLoader with instructions as to it's usage and the feedback he required.
03. Within two emails, he had isolated the issue and posted an updated version (1.47.1011) to the PicaLoader website for all new and registered users to download.
"Thank you for all your investigatory work into resolving this issue. As a customer, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your product support. I have been experiencing a similar issue with eFax and I have not gotten a single response from them after 22 emails to their support team (Phone support has been useless as well). PicaLoader has become a truly indispensable tool for the web design and marketing components of my consulting business. I use the program to create organized, searchable image databases of my customer's websites. This has proven invaluable when images have been damaged, replaced, or the customer has decided to revert back to prior image galleries. I can simply call up the PicaLoader database on my laptop, review all the images created for the client, and make decisions based on visual comparisons."
If you are new to PicaLoader and are wondering if the registration fee will be a worthwhile investment, I hope the experience related here will ease your decision. PicaLoader's uses extend far beyond the primary use of "image crawling." Taking the time to explore the rich feature set of the program will expose multiple usage scenarios in both the business and personal use environments that, for me at least, have pushed the value of PicaLoader far beyond the modest registration fee.
Sincerely,
Craig Roberts
